How do we shop for items on this website?
Click on the top navigation "Tea Shop" link. Scroll through the items or you may select a category from the drop down menu. If you know the item code, simple type it into the search box on the right.
How and when are your teas packaged and shipped?
They are packed in a 3-ply foil food safe bag with detailed label. All teas and herbals are packed at time of order for freshest quality. We also sell "Tea Filled Tins". These are teas and herbals packed in a tea tin for longer and fresher quality, for you. Tins are the best way to buy and store your teas. These tins are re-fillable.
How fresh is the loose tea?
We only store a very limited amount of all teas and herbals. So we often place new stock orders.
Also, we only pack your order when received. No tea sits on a shelf, like in most stores.

Where is Twisted Leaf based? We are based in south east Florida.
Where are your teas from?
Our teas and tisanes originate from China, Japan, India, Sri Lanka, Africa, Taiwan and Germany, and the USA.
Where are your teas sold?
Mainly here, online at TwistedLeafTea.com. Sometimes we have private home Tea Tasting events,
attend fairs and orders may be placed in person.
Are all your teas Organic or Fair Trade?
No, only those that say the name Organic or Fair Trade are.
What is the caffeine content of tea and non-teas? All true tea from the Camelia Sinesis Plant, (green or black
tea, ect.) have varied amounts of caffeine. "Herbal tea" or tisanes, such as our Perfect World do not contain any
caffeine. Rooibos also does not have caffeine since it is not a true tea.
Are your teas gluten-free?
Tea itself is gluten-free BUT our teas may be processed in a facility that also processes gluten products.
What is the shelf life and storage needs of tea?
About 1 year if stored properly. Such as a dry, cool place and in a airtight container.
We sell storage tins for your tea and herbal needs. Do not store in an environment where Oxygen, moisture,
and foreign aromas can affect the quality. Also, keep away from other strong smelling orders, light, and high
temperatures. Do not put in the freezer or fridge.
How much water should I use for one cup of tea?
1 cup = 8 fluid ounces. The general rule of thumb is to use 6-8 oz of water per teaspoon. This may alter depending on
your preferred taste and the recommended measurements per drink.
Can I get some samples?
We offer at least 1 random free sample of tea or tisane with every order. We sell in low 2oz measurements so you may affordably try new teas. Twisted Leaf also sells small sample packs in our Tea Shop page that may suit you.
How many cups of tea will I get from 4oz of loose tea?
*Keep in mind that most loose teas can be steeped more than once.
- Black tea is around 45 cups
- Herbal tea is around 35 cups
- Green tea is around 35 cups
What are your accepted payment methods?
- We offer safe, secure and easy payment through PayPal.com. Here you may pay by electronic check (preferred and acts like cash) or with accepted credit cards. We are verified by PayPal.
- Personal handwritten checks and cash may be used at Tea Tasting events only.
- Just add items to your PayPal shopping cart, proceed to checkout and complete checkout.

Do you sell or share any of my personal information?
No, we do not sell your information. However, joining the Twisted Leaf mailing list, you may receive emails or newsletters
from only our other companies, such as White Glove Art Group, Inc. and Dennis Friel Art Studios. They may share lists
at times. We promise we will not bombard you with ads.
Do you have a catalog? This site is used as our catalog.
Do you have gift certificates? Yes, we do via PayPal
How to redeem your gift certificate:

Printed Merchant Gift Certificates are transferable if they do not include a recipient email address. For security and verification purposes, you may be required to verify your identity using a credit card. Multiple gift certificates can be redeemed on a single purchase if they are in the same currency. Unused balances may be applied to other purchases.
Gift certificates do not expire and do not accrue maintenance fees.
